The training is held in the computer lab at the Community College of Denver’s Advanced Manufacturing Center. Taught by an experienced CNC machining instructor with ten years of hands-on Mastercam experience in machining prototyping. This one-day, non-credit training is designed for anyone who has a basic understanding of Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machining. Participants are responsible for travel, meals, and lodging. Objectives of the course: The course participants can create and test programs from workpiece drawings with HEIDENHAIN TNC controllers/controls (TNC 640 and iTNC530). Pattern definitions: DXF converter and the simple contour formula.Programming techniques: program section repeats, sub-programming, nesting.Cycles: drilling cycles, cycles for milling pockets, studs and slots, face milling, SL cycles, coordinate transformation cycles.Path functions: cartesian contour description, polar contour description.Basic knowledge: File management, tool table, presettable.
Participants will receive an official certification from the HEIDENHAIN Corporation.
This non-credit training is recommended for basic CNC operators, but anyone can attend, regardless of your prior experience (must be at least 18 years old). CCD’s Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) is one of two U.S.-based official training sites for HEIDENHAIN Controllers. HEIDENHAIN Controllers provides technical training covering installation, programming, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, as well as general training for distributors and end-users.
